1) The French Riviera

The French Riviera is the stretch of coastline that runs along the Mediterranean Sea. The area is made up of three different provinces, Provence, Languedoc and Bouches du Rhone. The region is known for its stunning beaches, beautiful nature and picturesque villages. 2) Le Puy-en-Velay

Le Puy-en-Velay, located in the Auvergne region of Central France, is a small town built on a hill. It is a popular tourist destination because it has many religious monuments, one of which is the cathedral. 3) Lyon

Lyon is a city located on the confluence of the rivers Rhône and Saône. It is located southeast of Paris, halfway between Saint Etienne and Geneva. Lyon has a population of 1 million people and its metropolitan area has a population of 3.5 million people. Its nickname is The City of Light. Lyon’s economy is based on commerce, industry, science, and research.

4) Bordeaux

Bordeaux is a wine lovers paradise. With so many different types of wines and wineries to explore, you will never get bored. The region of Bordeaux has been producing wine since the Roman occupation and has more than 600 years of experience with which to draw on. Bordeaux is also home to one of the world’s most famous wine producing areas – the Medoc district, known for its full bodied wines such as Chateau Margaux and Chateau Lafite Rothschild.

5) Paris

Paris is the best city to visit and offers an abundance of attractions. One popular attraction is the Notre Dame Cathedral, which houses a number of relics, including a crown made for King Louis IX and a statue of St. Denis. The Eiffel Tower is also in Paris, standing at 984 feet tall and offering panoramic views of the city. The Louvre Museum is another popular attraction with more than 600,000 objects on display.

6) Toulouse

Toulouse is located on the Garonne River and has always been a major trade center. It’s also known for its many churches, squares, and historic buildings. The Toulouse Cathedral of Saint-Etienne is a gothic cathedral that was first built in the 12th century. Most of the original building still exists, but it was heavily damaged during World War II and had to be rebuilt.

7) Aix en Provence

Aix en Provence is a small town with a rich history and unique architecture. Aix en Provence was the birthplace of painter Paul Cézanne and its art scene continues to thrive with museums, theaters, galleries, and exhibitions. The city also offers plenty of outdoor activities including biking tours and kayaking excursions on the river.

Avignon is a gorgeous city that is filled with history and architecture from the Middle Ages. 9) Mont Saint Michel

Mont Saint Michel is a spectacular site, and if you visit, it’s likely to be one of the highlights of your vacation. The attraction has been built on an island that was once only accessible by boat but now can be reached by a bridge. Mont Saint Michel is also home to the Abbey of St. Michel which is one of the best examples of Romanesque architecture in all of Europe.

10) Perros Guirec, Brittany

Perros Guirec is a quaint little seaside village on the south coast of Brittany. It’s one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region, and with good reason. Perros Guirec has plenty to offer: an outstandingly well preserved Romanesque church, a picturesque harbor, and miles of rugged coastline. The town is also home to some excellent seafood restaurants that are perfect for refueling after a long day at the beach.
